One of the most beneficial and important ways children learn is through play. This essential part of a child’s daily life has a huge impact on their cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development. At Help Me Grow, we encourage you to engage your child in play every day to see some of the following benefits:

Cognition
  • helps with memory
  • develops problem solving/critical thinking skills
  • uses imagination
Physical development
  • develops motor skills/flexibility
  • building energy and stamina
Social-emotional development
  • encourages interaction
  • helps with learning social skills and building confidence
  • practice for processing emotions

SFCS Lending Library

One of the ways Help Me Grow Solano supports everyday play is through our Lending Library. Located at our office in Fairfield, the Lending Library contains a variety of activities, toys, and games that community members can borrow for free. Some examples of our available activity kits are the Social-Emotional Learning Box, Baby Signs Curriculum Box, and the Fine Motor Development Box. We also have climbing structures, and smaller items such as blocks and board games available. New items and kits are debuted every month, so keep an eye out on our social media pages to see what’s coming!
