Help Me Grow Solano connects families to community resources and to health and development services, so children can start school healthy and ready to succeed.
Resources may include parenting and family support, child care, basic needs, health, developmental, and mental health, and other programs throughout Solano County that support families with young children. Help Me Grow Solano is a single portal of access to a broad range of services through one central phone call, fax, or electronic request.
Help Me Grow Solano works with child care providers, pediatricians, and other medical and social service agencies by providing updated information, training on developmental screening, and direct connection to services through the HMG referral system.
Help Me Grow Solano Family Navigators are available Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM (except for Tuesdays 8:30 AM to 12 PM, and the first Friday of every month)

Yes. Families, child care providers and health care and social service providers can call the Help Me Grow Solano toll free number; 844-501-KIDS (5437) or complete a Connection Form for free. There is no charge for connecting you to services or for the follow up we do.
We try to provide families with information and referrals to services that are available at low or no cost but may need to refer to services that request insurance information or are fee based. The decision for these referrals are up to you.
HMG does provide resources and referrals and much more. The call center staff has expertise in early childhood development, parenting, and family support, and can help assess the needs of the child and family, inquire about other needs and determine the best possible resources available.
HMG provides referrals and linkage to community resources by assessing a child and family’s needs and helping connect the family to existing programs and services. HMG provides intake, triage and connection to any services and resources that help support the child and family.
HMG staff also provides follow-up calls to determine if a family has been successfully linked to services and if further assistance is needed.
No. We will answer questions to all who call our toll free number looking for resources in Solano County.
At this time, HMG serves families with children birth to five years. However, if the family has a child older than 5 yrs., HMG will not turn them away and will assist with resources. The long term goal is to expand HMG Solano to serve families with children of all ages.
Yes. We encourage you to share information about Help Me Grow Solano throughout the community. In fact, if you need extra materials or assistance in doing so, please call the toll free number and we provide you with flyers, brochures, etc.
Help Me Grow Solano is funded by the First 5 Solano and Solano County Mental Health.
Help Me Grow Solano is available to anyone who is looking for developmental, learning or behavior resources for children in Solano County.
Yes. The eligibility criteria for inclusion in the resource database is that the program provides a service for families and children in Solano County.
HMG is for all children and families wanting information and linkage to programs and services in Solano County. There are no eligibility criteria, and no cost to families.
Our Family Navigators will follow up with you within 48 hours, Monday through Friday.
